PLEASE VISIT for up-to-date information regarding Jazz Project in both Los Alamos & Santa Fe.

The Los Alamos Jazz Project has been embraced and absorbed by SFYSA. The Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association is relaunching its jazz program after a one year break and I have moved from conducting the Youth Philharmonic orchestra to directing the full SFYSA Jazz program and its relaunch.  I will be coordinating and teaching the SFYSA Jazz Project - Los Alamos and the SFYSA Jazz Project - Santa Fe. I am thrilled that we will continue to offer small group jazz classes in Los Alamos as well as Santa Fe.

From the point of view of students and families in Los Alamos moving along this path with us, you will experience a few things differently, but much of it the same as before. We will continue to offer our classes at Los Alamos High School on Tuesday nights and we will continue to perform here in our community. Below are a few things that will be different for families and students.

  • There will be a more formalized registration and audition process (more info linked)

  • Students will have occasional performance opportunities in Santa Fe

  • Tuition will be collected by a different entity, although the amount ($550/year) will remain the same

"To promote jazz through performance and education in the community."
